250mm Kiritsuke Gyuto- African Wenge & Ancient Bog Oak

£300.00

Part of my “East meets West series”.

A beautiful large kitchen knife with a subtle but distinctive handle and special blade grind suitable for a range of tasks.

Sheffield Stainless Steel, African Wenge handle paired with an Ancient English Bog Oak ferrule.

Rokkaku Hanmaru shaped handle. I absolutely love this shape, so comfortable in the hand. It’s basically an octagonal handle with a rounded out bottom to create a shield shape.

The blade is ground asymmetrically, flat on the left and convex on the right. Cuts like a laser and food release is good. A left handed person could easily use it but is customised for the primary user to be right handed.

  • Wenge & Ancient Bog Oak

  • SF100 Stainless Steel (made in Sheffield)

  • 59 HRC (±1.5)

  • Weight: 197g

  • Asymmetrical Grind

  • No case
